Cardwell Built

The Cardwell Built Way

What It's Like to Build With Cardwell

We have refined this process over 25 years and more than 300 projects. The goal is always the same: no surprises, no shortcuts, a finished product you are proud of.

1

Initial Consultation

1–2 weeks

We meet on-site or at our office to understand your vision, your timeline, and the scope of what you want to build. No pressure, no pitch — just a conversation about what's possible. We also align on budget early, because your vision and your budget need to be realistic together before we go any further.

2

Site & Design

4–8 weeks

We work to develop plans that reflect your priorities and work within your budget. We flag potential cost or timeline issues before they become problems.

3

Selections & Planning

3–6 weeks

Every material, every finish, every fixture is selected before the first board is cut. This phase eliminates the mid-project decisions that cause delays and cost overruns.

4

Breaking Ground

Day 1

With a signed contract, a complete plan set, and all selections finalized, we begin. You receive a detailed schedule and a direct line to your project manager.

5

The Build

Project-dependent

Regular updates, no surprises. You are welcome on site at any time. If something changes, you hear it from us first — with a solution already in hand.

6

Final Walkthrough & Handoff

1–3 days

Before you take the keys, we walk every inch of the project together. Every item on the punch list is resolved before we consider a project complete. This is not a formality.

Transparency

Every cost, every timeline change, every decision is communicated in writing. You will never receive a surprise invoice.

Accountability

You have a named superintendent on your project. One person who is responsible and reachable throughout the entire build.

Standards

We do not lower our quality standards to hit a price point. If a job cannot be done right, we say so before we start.
